Disassembled the entire truck.
Sandblasted the frame and rebuild brakes.

Disassemble engine for rebuild. It is an original 1953 216 babbit bearing engine. The truck has 32000 original miles. The truck was used on a farm, never maintained. The engine has 0.001" wear on the main bearings and 0.012" - 0.016" wear on the cylinders.
Plans:
Engine: Bore cylinders, replace rods with insert type, No more babbit.
Clutch: Replace with new
Transmission: Clean and restore

Purchased an original oil bath air cleaner from Chevy Duty (needs cleaning an repainting but good shape)

Purchased new box w/polish strips and bolt kit from Chevy Duty.
Bed sides need primer (cleaned and primed)

Sand blasted and primed cab. (cab needs floor replaced on driver side, next project)
Found Speedometer gear from "Heavy Chevy" (local GM dealer said good luck finding that, NO HELP!)
April 2009
Replaced the floor on the drivers side and patched some other holes on the cab.

My wife purchased stainless fuel lines and a new pitman arm for the Christmas, can't wait to put it on.

Pressure washed the steering column and gearbox assembly clean and rebuild next.
